The Radakng House

This is Radakng House. Also known as Betang House and Long House. The traditional house of Dayak peoples in my hometown Pontianak, West Borneo. Altough in watermark writen 2015 actually this photos was taken around December 2014. At that time i was so crazy about dramatic and HDR photos.

Radakng home is the largest traditional home in Indonesia today and become a new landmark after the Equator Monument in Pontianak city, with a length of 138 meters and a height of 7 meters. Located in Sutan Sjahrir, Kota Baru, Pontianak

Stage-shaped house far from the ground surface is purposely built to avoid flooding and wild animal attacks.
